Statement on PHI and the website https://centerfamilyandmarriagetherapy.com/ and qualitative research on the effectiveness of ChatGPT in mental health wellness (see PDF viewer below to read online or download research article):
Free versions of ChatGPT Virtual Assistants Portia, Mark, Alex, and Cindy do not gather personal information from visitors except their names. Adherence to HIPAA regulations is necessary when handling and storing Personal Healthcare Information (PHI). The mobile app (Dr. Karen's) collects e-commerce payment details for paid and free membership versions of ChatGPT, such as Alex's mood scaler and self-reporting monitoring log. Paid services on this website, such as group therapy sessions and post-master's level graduate clinicians seeking clinical supervision or e-commerce products, collect billing information. When engaging in general online searches, social media interactions, or chats, you should refrain from disclosing and exposing your PHI. ChatGPT hosted on this website or through the mobile app will never ask for your sensitive information, including passwords. ChatGPT may ask for your first name to remember you on your next visit. Please refer to the section titled "Examples of PHI" below.
